Louise Sparkles wins the university’s Outstanding Volunteer of the Year award!

Louise Student awards ceremonyCONGRATULATIONS to Louise Sparkles, S’15 Occupational Therapy student who has just been awarded the Outstanding University Volunteer of the Year award.

Along with Emma Saunders, another S’15 occupational therapy student, Louise was nominated by Sarah Harvey, senior lecturer, for all their hard work at all the Canterbury recruitment events during the past year, resulting in lots of positive feedback for both students, but one in particular for Louise, who went out of her way on a study day to show a prospective student around the Canterbury campus.

Louise says: “I would like to say a big thank you to Sarah Harvey for nominating me for the award, I was truly surprised to have received it! I enjoy volunteering on the Open Days and speaking about the value of studying Occupational Therapy to prospective students and I feel really pleased that I have inspired another mature student to undertake the course. I look forward to volunteering at these events in future.”

The team are delighted with Louise’s much deserved win and thank both Emma and Louise for their support over the past year.
