To apply for our Occupational Therapy programme you will need to apply through UCAS. See Planning your Application pages.
You will need to be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of occupational therapy in both your personal statement (application) and at the interview. We are looking for candidates who have the potential to be able to communicate well, and to work collaboratively with others. You will be a good problem solver, and have a genuine interest in people and the lives they live.
We expect you to have visited at least one occupational therapy department, or have spoken to an occupational therapist about the work they do. You will need to do this before your interview, as we ask you to discuss this during the interview day. If you have the opportunity to visit more than one setting, this will give you more to discuss.
For further advice on writing your all important personal statement please watch the following video for some helpful hints and tips.
