We deliver the same occupational therapy curriculum with the same teaching staff at each campus – however the start date for Medway is April not September.

The Students’ Union organises a wide variety of events and activities for you to get involved in.
There is a lot to see and do in the local area including six gyms, extensive leisure and football facilities together with two arts centres. Each year over 20 days of free festivals are hosted by the Medway towns (Rochester, Gillingham and Chatham).For more details click on the Visit Medway site
Nearby to the Campus are restaurants, a large cinema complex and a shopping outlet and the historic city of Rochester, home to the Cathedral where graduation ceremonies are held, is just a short bus ride away.

Staff will help you to become familiar with the very latest health and social care technology and equipment so that you are prepared for your placement. Technicians are also on hand to help you with any additional practice sessions.
Skills lab facilities include:
- A fully equipped operating theatre with anaesthetic equipment, an observation room and scrub room
- Computer operated SimMan
- Fully operational radiography suite and dark room with facilities for digital imaging which is linked with a 40 person IT suite so that images can be viewed immediately
- Maternity and child nursing room complete with SimBaby
- Ward areas
- Occupational therapy daily living suite and workshops
- A range of equipment to support cardiology and minimally invasive surgery students
Drill Hall library
A major facility available to all Universities at Medway students is the state-of-the-art Drill Hall Library.
The building, at 184 metres long, is thought to be the longest library in Europe and contains 2.7 miles of shelving, an extensive collection of around 130,000 books and journals, 400 computers and 100 netbooks/laptops, training rooms, and discussion spaces.

The second phase of the Liberty Quays student residential development in Medway provides purpose built student accommodation for the University from September 2013.
In conjunction with the University of Kent, the site provides over 500 student bedrooms, up to 150 of which will be occupied by Christ Church students. Conveniently placed next to the Medway Campus teaching sites and easily accessible on foot, Liberty Quays offers Medway students contemporary bedrooms in a busy and student friendly environment. The rooms are groups in flats of 6 or 8 students with shared communal lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. The accommodation is managed by an external contractor, Liberty Living.

Our Student Homes
Liberty Quays is a purpose-built residence comprising of 4 individual blocks all located just 5 minutes walk from the Medway Campus giving residents full access to the Universities at Medway facilities. The residence is within easy reach of all local amenities and transport links, including both Gillingham and Chatham railway stations. Liberty Quays close proximity to the region’s town centre and Medway Campus allows residents to participate fully in the exciting student scene both on and off campus.
Liberty Quays offers 992 Single study bedrooms plus 114 Studio apartments. All rooms/apartments are fully fitted to a high standard and include an en-suite shower, toilet and washbasin plus a data point for high-speed Internet access as well as Wi-Fi throughout the building. All study bedrooms share a fully fitted kitchen and living area – Studio apartments are self-contained.
The accommodation is arranged in apartments of between 4 and 10 bedrooms and includes purpose-built rooms designed for residents with disabilities.
Liberty Quays is fully staffed with an on-site management and maintenance team. We provide 24-hour security for our residents including a comprehensive CCTV system monitoring the site, electronic entry systems for access to and from the residence plus a manned reception area 24-hours a day for maximum security. The residence also provides a spacious communal living area and on-site laundry facility.
Liberty Quays’ purpose-built design maximizes security and quality of living by including state of the art amenities in an independent environment.
